I would not call myself a RedHat developer or administrator. I’ve spent most of my career as a Windows system administrator having supported many versions of Window server and Microsoft enterprise applications.
However, at some point in your career, you will undoubtedly need to gain some level of Linux knowledge. Over the years, I have tried Ubuntu (a good option for Linux newbies), Debian, Fedora, CentOS, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Lately, however, I’ve worked in environments that solely use Red Hat Enterprise Linux which has inspired me to to learn more about the OS and how to best troubleshoot and support it.
